Time to Celebrate
Ten years ago, The Kingston Academy first opened its doors with a small group of pioneering students — our original “history makers” — and a clear vision for what a school could become. Gradually we grew alongside our students, adding a new year group each September until becoming the thriving community we are today, with more than 1,400 pupils. Along the way, there have been many memorable milestones: from astronaut Helen Sharman unveiling the school’s founding plaque, to achieving recognition as one of the top-performing non-selective state schools in the country, while also being celebrated as one of the happiest schools in the UK. We have faced challenges too — including being one of the first schools in the country to face up to Covid — yet throughout every chapter, the spirit of our community has remained strong.
As we celebrate this 10-year anniversary, we look back with justifiable pride at everything our students, staff, families and supporters have built together, and look ahead with excitement to the next decade of The Kingston Academy’s story.
Join us in school on the 4th July to celebrate 10 years of The Kingston Academy.
