Extra Curricular, School Visits & Trips

Enrichment Programme

At TKA, we are proud to offer a broad and diverse enrichment program that goes beyond traditional academic subjects. We believe in nurturing the whole student, ensuring they have opportunities to explore their passions, develop new skills, and cultivate a well-rounded education. Students have the freedom to choose from an array of options, allowing them to pursue their individual interests and discover hidden talents.

Pupils make their choices for each term using our Enrichment Portal.

Details of all clubs and activities for the term can be found there. Please note that pupils should only make choices once they have decided upon the activities they wish to do. The portal is for final choices.

Visits and Trips

In addition to the broad curriculum and enrichment opportunities at TKA we are proud of the variety of educational visits and trips on offer to our pupils. In Kingston Upon Thames there is a wealth of opportunities on our doorstep; we want our pupils to benefit from local treasures such as Richmond Park, Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens and the museums and theatres of London as well as learning from universities, business environments and sporting arenas. We try to use public transport wherever possible to reduce the environmental impact of such endeavours.

As well as day trips and sports fixtures in the local area, the school offers residential visits both in the UK and abroad. Sleeping under the stars is something that we hold dear; our Year 7s camp on the Kent coast in the summer term, we have an active Duke Of Edinburgh's Award programme from Year 9 onwards and in Year 8 our pupils experience an outward bounds adventure.

We aim to develop global citizens and have an active pupil exchange programme with a school in Spain. Our pupils have visited New York and Washington DC in the United States, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Belgium and France, amongst other destinations. In addition to these opportunities, we have an annual ski trip to Europe as well as an annual football tour, which last year saw our pupils training with Villareal CF in Spain.
