GCSE Outcomes - 2025

Attainment 8

Attainment 4&5

GCSE by grade

Year 11 TKA pupils have produced another set of stellar results:

  • The provisional Attainment 8 (A8) score of 6.22 means that the average grade students achieved across their best 8 subjects was a high grade 6, exceeding last year's 6.20 (which rose from 6.17 on results day)
  • Given the stable profile of our cohorts, this represents exceptional progress once again. There is no Progress 8 measure this year to reflect this, however, as this cohort did not sit SATs in Year 6. SATs are the baseline for progress measures.
  • 87% of pupils achieved Grade 4 or above in both English and Mathematics (in line with 88% last year), with 78% at Grade 5 or above in both English and Mathematics (up from 75% last year).
  • Achievement was particularly strong in English Literature, Mathematics, Religious Studies, Music Practice BTEC & Sports Studies.
  • Almost half (46%) of grades were at Grade 7 or above, with 45% of pupils gaining Grade 7 or higher in five or more subjects.
  • 33 pupils (16%) achieved Grade 8 or 9 in at least eight subjects, with 3 pupils gaining ten or more Grade 9s.
  • 162 students (77%) are eligible for our Sixth Form. Enrolment is currently underway

A Level Outcomes - 2025

Our fourth cohort of 6th form students have achieved a strong set of results demonstrating sustained success for TKA in its A Level outcomes since the Sixth Form opened in 2020.

The table above shows that the average grade was a B- with 57% of grades at or above their ambitious benchmark grades.

Subject residuals and ALPS show that progress was notably strong in History, Philosophy, Further Maths, Business Studies, Geography and Sociology.

In addition to A Levels, 14 students completed the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification). Of these, 11 achieved an A or A* outcome.

13 students achieved 3 or more A or A* grades with 3 achieving A*s across all their subjects.

In relation to University applications:

  • 3 offers from Oxbridge were received within the cohort. The one student who accepted her offer met the conditions and will be studying English Literature at Cambridge
  • One student successfully met their offer to study Medicine at St George’s Medical school
  • 91% of UK University applicants were placed in their firm or insurance choice (81% and 10% respectively)
