Today our Year 11 cohort have produced another set of stellar, record-breaking GCSE results.
Students achieved an average grade of 6.22 across their best eight subjects—an all-time record for the school and higher than last year’s 6.20. Almost half of all grades awarded were at Grade 7 or above, with 45% of pupils achieving at least five Grade 7s or higher.
An impressive 33 students (16% of the year group) secured Grade 8 or 9 in a minimum of eight subjects, with three pupils achieving the remarkable feat of ten or more Grade 9s.
Although national progress scores cannot be calculated for this year group due to the absence of Key Stage 2 data following the pandemic, the school is confident that these results would once again place The Kingston Academy among the very highest performing schools in the country. Last year’s progress score ranked the school in the top 0.3% nationally.
We are incredibly proud of the commitment and perseverance shown by our Year 11 students. These record-breaking results reflect not only their academic ability but also their determination to succeed and the unwavering support of our dedicated staff and wider school community.
