School Trips and Visits
The Kingston Academy values the contribution a comprehensive programme of school trips and visits makes to broadening our pupils horizons and perspectives. Our curriculum offer will be enriched through visits to places of interest such as museums, exhibitions, sites of historical interest, sports arenas and competitions, concerts, universities, the West End and business environments to name but a few.
The school is committed to offering a broad range of residential trips abroad: to places as diverse as Iceland, the USA, Spain, skiing in France and many more destinations.
We are committed to developing global citizens and as such we will be looking to develop links across the globe to support our languages curriculum and also to develop a frontier spirit within our pupils through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, winter and summer activities and international work experience exchanges. We will expect our pupils to engage fully with team building days away as well as capitalising on the many fantastic opportunities for education and exploration that present themselves locally such as on the Thames at the Wetlands Centre and the Thames Barrier, Kew Gardens and Richmond Park.
