Mental Health & Wellbeing

At the Kingston Academy we work hard to promote good mental health amongst our pupils and we understand that their emotional wellbeing is every bit as important as physical health.  We recognise that today’s teenagers face an increasingly complex and challenging world.  The constant pressure of social networking, in particular, can present numerous pressures for young people.  One of our key aims is to build emotional resilience amongst our pupils, to make them tenacious, willing to try something new and with the ability to realise that mistakes are opportunities to improve.

We have collated some useful links below for both pupils, parents & guardians.  Click on the links to access the sites.

The Kingston Academy also has a team of Anti-Bullying Ambassadors who have received extensive training from the Diana Award Anti-Bullying campaign. Their role is to support staff and pupils in anticipating, identifying and reacting to incidents of unkind behaviour both within the school and the wider community.
All ambassadors have an Anti-Bullying pin which they wear on their blazer. For more information on the scheme please visit:
