World Book Day

On Thursday 7th March the school celebrated World Book Day and, as ever, staff and pupils embraced the creative challenge of dressing up as a favourite character from a book representative on one of the school’s core values (Resilience, Integrity, Generosity, Fulfillment and Creativity). Well dressed pupils who had gone beyond, were invited to a special World Book Day lunch with staff where all could admire their efforts. Highlights included an uncanny Hagrid impersonator in Y9, an inflatable T-rex teaching Digital Literacy, The Three Muskateers, the entire cast of Miss Peregrin’s School for Peculiar Children and many more. Lessons also had a book inspired twist to them, including drawing characters from favourite stories in Art. Thank you all for your support in bringing books to life for the day at TKA!
