Technology is central to school life for our pupils, inside and outside of school hours. The Kingston Educational Trust holds the belief that the power of new technologies and the online world are fundamental in developing our pupils as digital citizens, to enhance, support and stimulate their learning experiences.

The Kingston Academy have partnered with Google Apps for Education (GAfE) which provides virtual access to classes, class content, tests, homework, grades, assessments, and other external resources such as academic or museum website links. GAfE also provides a social space where pupils and staff can interact through threaded discussions based on a variety of educationally-based topics or questions.

As pupils at The Kingston Academy are encouraged to take the lead in shaping their own learning and work at a pace that is suited to their needs,GAfE will further enable this as part of a distance learning tool facilitating learning ‘any-time, any-place, any-where’.
