Sean Weston is a RIBA registered Architect. He has lived in Ham for over ten years and is married with two children, the youngest of which attends Fern Hill Primary, adjacent to The Kingston Academy.
Sean’s architectural career has principally focused on a social agenda including new schools, residential developments and healthcare facilities. He wholeheartedly believes that to make a difference as an industry architects should always be open to draw upon wider influences from other disciplines and to engage with the communities within which they work. Sean’s career has seen him travel internationally enabling him to work in Australia, Hong Kong and China and to experience different cultures. This appreciation of differing cultures and an understanding of the world economy is something that he passionately believes our next generation will need to understand in greater detail to become worldwide citizens.
Sean is passionate about the role The Kingston Academy will have within his community and is keen to lend his knowledge and experience to help deliver the Trust’s vision. Alongside Sean’s core architectural skills of people management and problem solving creatively, he also possesses skills that cover Employee Relations, Recruitment & Selection and Training and Development.
When not in the design studio Sean has a passion for travelling with his family, is a coach for Kew Park Rangers Football Club and is a keen runner who can often be seen on the Richmond Park circuit and running home from work.
He is Chair of the Buildings, Finance and Resources committee.
