Councillor Caroline Kerr

Caroline Kerr is a councillor for Canbury ward and Chair of the Kingston Town Neighbourhood committee. She spent several years as a school governor at her children’s primary school.

She is a former ITN correspondent who spent the best part of 20 years reporting from the UK and abroad.  In her work as a foreign correspondent for ITN she covered the Fall of the Berlin Wall, the Handover of Hong Kong and the Kobe earthquake.

She set up Millbank Media, a media training company in 2006 and, since then, has been working as a media trainer. She also worked for several years as an independent editorial adviser to the BBC Trust.

She was born and brought up in Kingston, went to primary school at St Agatha’s and now lives in the town centre with her family.
