The Kingston Academy SIxth Form admission appeals for 2020 entry

Both students and their parents have a right to appeal a decision not to offer a place in the Sixth Form.

All Sixth form appeals are heard by an independent panel, organised on behalf of the Trust by Surrey Schools Appeals Service.

Appeal forms can be requested by email from the Sixth Form Office:  sixthform@thekingstonacademy.org and must be returned directly to Surrey Schools Appeals Service.  Completed Appeals Forms must be received by no later than Tuesday 1 September 2020.

Note that in the case of  appeals where students did not reach the specified entry requirements, the Appeal Panel will not make its own assessment of a student’s ability, but must decide whether the Trust’s decision that the student was not of the required standard was reasonable in light of the information available to it.

Appeals must usually be heard within 30 school days of confirmation of exam results (but the timing may be affected by the COVID mitigation arrangements currently in place).
