Two Christmas Carols
We were treated to two brilliant performances in school this week of ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens to continue our festivities in the lead-up to Christmas. On Tuesday morning, The Globe Players performed their own abridged version of the classic novel on stage in the school hall to Year 8 and 9 pupils. Not to be upstaged, over 50 of our very own budding actors and actresses performed their own adaptation on Wednesday evening in school. During this original immersive theatre experience, different key parts of the festive tale were performed in locations across the school as parents and visitors moved around the ‘corridors’ of Victorian London. Well done to Mr Allport, the English Department and of course all the talented pupils who performed so brilliantly on the night.
